I thought it was this thread, but apparently it was another. Z for Zachariah was a good rec. It was very interestingly told. I really loved that:

Re: Favorite Post-apocalyptic/Dystopian movies
My son recently did an English assignment on dystopian movies and was looking at various trailers etc to find the movie he wanted to discuss. He came across this in his research - I really want to ch-ch-check it out.

I just watched an Italian dystopian movie from 1970 called I cannibali. It was awful.

Hmm. What do you mean by "opportunity"? Like, "here, I cooked this leg up for you" or "here, you are about to die of starvation if you don't eat something and this guy was dead anyway"?CopperTom wrote:If you had the opportunity to eat human, would you? Re: Favorite Post-apocalyptic/Dystopian movies
The Matrix and V for Vendetta are both right up there.
A Clockwork Orange as well.
I tend to think the dystopian films have a lot more of interest to say than post apocalyptic movies, which I think tend to take the easy way out in their exploration of human nature, and don't have many useful lessons to offer.
Is snowpiercer worth watching? I keep almost making the time.
