I like it for what it is. I wish Ryan's guitar tone wasnt drenched in 80's reverb though. Its like everything sounds like it should be playing in the background of an 80's movie.

I get that but blank space, out of the woods, this love and how you get the girl grabbed me the most on first listen and coincidentally they are not the ones awash in that horrible tone he gets fron that fender amp he uses. He hasnt really gotten that part of his music right since Easy Tiger, which seems to be where he fell face first off the tone wagon.

At the end of the interview, Adams revealed that he's already completed his next record, a double LP which he crafted on the road. He said it's "the most fragile thing" he's done so far: "I think it will replace Love Is Hell for a deep fan as...like, this is the stuff."
now plz

its good tone. You just dont like that sort of tone. He's going for that vibe on purpose.

Its a bad vibe. I wish he would stop (or have kept around Neal or JP) because he still has a good voice and a few good ideas.

Clean, the lyrics
The drought was the very worst
When the flowers that we'd grown
Together died of thirst
It was months and months of back and forth
You're still all over me like
A wine-stained shirt I can't wear anymore

Hung my head as I lost the war
And the sky turn black like a perfect storm

Rain came pouring down
When I was drowning
That's when I could finally breathe
And by morning
Gone was any trace of you
I think I am finally clean

There was nothing left to do
And the butterflies turned to
Dust that covered my whole room
So I punched a hole in the roof
Let the flood carry away
All my pictures of you

The water filled my lungs
I screamed so loud but no one heard a thing

The rain came pouring down
When I was drowning
That's when I could finally breathe
And by morning
Gone was any trace of you
I think I am finally clean

Ten months sober, I must admit
Just because you're clean don't mean you don't miss it
Ten months older, I won't give in
Now that I'm clean I'm never gonna risk it

Rain came pouring down
When I was drowning
That's when I could finally breathe
And by morning
Gone was any trace of you
I think I am finally clean

Rain came pouring down
When I was drowning
That's when I could finally breathe
And by morning
Gone was any trace of you
Sometimes I wanna drive around and find you
And act like it's a random thing

I'm interested how KD dct and Chud feel about this. I think they all like the original album.
