Horror movies are pretty much awful
Same old shit
I guess if I have to watch one I want it as over the top and ridiculous as possible

Which ones, if any, have you seen?
I mean, Scream and the Exorcist are pretty essential horror flicks, so I'd say at least those two.

Image isn't showing. In case this one doesn't show, it's 'The Cabin In the Woods'. Based on what you said, I think this is the movie for you.darth_vedder wrote:i got bugs wrote:Horror movies are pretty much awful

Ehh, it's a cool concept. I don't think the execution works very well, though.durdencommatyler wrote:New Nightmare is fucking brilliant.

I will say it helps if you've seen all the other Nightmare movies that came before it. It's brilliant either way, but having traveled the long road, helps make it more poignant and it enhances the more subtle satiric elements. But, yeah, either way, watch it. It's so fucking good.

It's been awhile since ive seen most nightmares but I had at once been fairly fluent in the krueger journey

I can totally understand someone having that point of view, for sure. Obviously, it worked on me, so I'd disagree. But I won't hold it against you.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Ehh, it's a cool concept. At least you understand how fresh and interesting the concept is.
I'm also a sucker for meta in general, but I'm a goddamn town crier for it when it's done well.

Somewhat similar to his approach with scream 3?

Re: List Your Top 10 Favorite Horror Movies
Kinda. Sorta. But way deeper and much more interesting. And it came first, so it was even more "groundbreaking" at the time. New Nightmare is my second favorite in the entire Elm Street series. It's far superior to Scream 3, I think.Strat wrote:durdencommatyler wrote:Strat wrote:durdencommatyler wrote:Strat wrote:durdencommatyler wrote:New Nightmare is fucking brilliant.
