Soundgarden - King Animal -

When a band is but a fraction of Pearl Jam, but they aren't zero Pearl Jam.

it is very strong, but he has been doing good since his departure with Audioslave.
I was pretty shocked. I'm very amped for this show.
Cornell Acoustic show was pretty much heaven.

Very accurate statement. Downloading last night's show from DIME, pull is from the pit so we'll see how the sound was down there.

I haven't felt compelled to play it since the iTunes stream.

i liked a few songs, and hardly hated the album, after the first 5 or 6 listens, but have never felt the need to go back. If it was on my ipod I'd probably go back to a few of the songs I liked more.

On the other hand, I never get to listen to anything but the gigglebellies in the car right now anyway, so this is largely moot.

Haven't listened to it since I was playing it in preparation for their concert. Not that it's a bad record, there's just not much urge to hit play on it these days with everything else that I'm listening to.

I generally like it, and gave it a lot of time when it came out. However I don't think I've listened to it at all in 2013, so it fell off the map pretty quickly.

I still consider it a very solid album, but I don't really listen much lately. I'm looking forward to seeing how it compares to Lightning Bolt.

this disk just doesn't have longevity, honestly it wasn't even that good in the first place.

Listening now on the way home. Non state and Crooked steps are pretty good tracks that for me stack up well against some of DoTU.

Cool to see this thread bumped, just listened to KA for the first time in months a few days ago. Still holds up well, safe to say it exceeded my expectations after being pretty underwhelmed with Been Away Too Long (I've since grown to enjoy that tune now). While no where near the same league as BMF, SU and DOTU, I have to admit that I'm stoked to see what else they end up putting out in the future.

A Thousand Days Before ranks up there with some of their best work, IMO, can't get enough of that song. Demo is great, too. Also a huge fan of Taree, Blood On The Valley Floor and Attrition. Only songs I really can't listen to are Halfway There (does not belong on this album at all and its inclusion continues to baffle me--the demo is not half bad) and Rowing (bass line is killer, but the extremely polished vox and lyrics really ruin it for me). On the whole, I still consider it a very solid effort after 17 years.

And yeah def looking forward to seeing Cornell solo this fall. Saw him in DC on his 2011 tour and it was a pretty amazing show. The guy still has some bone chilling vocals, pretty damn impressive after all this time....

All of this is fairly accurate, although I like Rowing.
