How many pitchers have gone 16-7, 2.16 ERA, lead the league in strikes outs with 294, lead the league in innings pitched, complete games, shut outs, strike outs per 9...
and finished 3rd in Cy Young voting?
Sorry Clatyon
and sucks to be Greinke/Arrietta (whoever doesnt get it)
My moneys on Greinke winning it, in one of the closest votes ever

damn I had that game on earlier too! I know he always wanted to do it in a big league gamespike wrote:Ichiro's pitching for the Marlins.
Just watched video of it, was consistently at 88 with his fastball. Thats pretty damn good for a 41 year old non pitcher really. I swore Ive heard a few people say his arm isnt what it used to be.
He actually pitched in an allstar game in Japan once
Greinkes months of May/June are gonna hurt him, when he went 0-2 over a 10 game stretch only given up like 12 runs because the Dodgers couldnt score a run.

Re: MLB
Here's who I will be rooting for (this can easily change, like it did last year with the Royals at their WC game.)
Royals
Cubs
Yankees
Pirates
Astros
Blue Jays
Mets
Dodgers
Cardinals
Rangers
I kind of want to be in Illinois when the Cubs finally win. Not necessarily on the north side of Chicago. That seems dangerous (a la someone died in Boston 2004). But maybe out in like Peoria or something.

I don't really root for teams besides the Sox, but I will be watching most games hoping for competitive, fun games. Oh, and I'll be hate-watching the Yankees.

Peoria? I don't think I've ever heard anybody say they wanted to be in Peoria for any reason. The Argonaut wrote:Here's who I will be rooting for (this can easily change, like it did last year with the Royals at their WC game.)

Peoria holds a special place in my heart because it is the hometown of Jim Thome.

Re: MLB
meh. I was a Yankees fan and I may be again someday. I still hate the Red Sox. I'm more of a general baseball fan right now. Riding the Royals bandwagon for a while.cutuphalfdead wrote:Aren't you a Yankees fan?The Argonaut wrote:Here's who I will be rooting for (this can easily change, like it did last year with the Royals at their WC game.)

I've been feeling uncomfortable since my last post in this thread. I am a Yankees fan. A-Rod's face just makes me upset.
