My wishes are simple for the next, and every, PJ album.

All of them in a room for some extended period of time, no preconceived direction, limited pre-recorded demos, just play together and create together. Record it. Use guitars, drums, and microphones. Keys are acceptable in limited form. Producer makes the decisions on how the guitars and drums fit together. Use full takes. Play with passion. Pretend you aren't rich. Care about what your kids (and my kids) will think about it ten years from now. Do something new with your guitars and drums some of the time. Put a brown paper bag on it and release it on PJ.com for 9.99.

Ready.
Set.
Go.

Hey I just got off the phone with Kelly Curtis. They are taking requests, like really specific ones. Recording technique, song parts, mixing ideas, all of it. Just keep posting, and I'll bring it back to them. This is gonna be the first crowdsourced album .... not crowdsourced in the funding sense, but crowdsourced in the true musical band sense. Keep the ideas coming, guys. Kelly says the band is pumped about this. You're doing great!

Brendan o'Brien certainly had a good laugh about it.
