Meanwhile... is piratebay down again? I could get there the other day, but I haven't tried again since.
Try this, it helps me in a pinch.

My internet up speeds are pretty basic (I mean, fuck - Australia is practically third world by internet speed and consistency standards) but I've managed to build an OK ratio at What over time. Granted, I don't download that crazy, but enough - I tend to binge at it. I'm sitting at 155GB up, 124GB down.

Make sure your comp LAN IP address is static (portforward.com can help), make sure your router ports are forwarded correctly (again, portforward.com) and just make sure that you keep on uploading everything that you ever download, all the time. Don't turn your computer off. I've personally uploaded only 2 "new" torrents ever (to What).

Both my "torrents file" folder and my "completed torrents" folder are backed up and I have re-updated all torrents whenever I've moved to a new 'main' computer. I'd say I'm still uploading 95% of all the stuff I ever downloaded off what, and this is my 6th year as a member.

I reckon that's the trick.

What is going to have a freeleech soon. They're not announcing the start time, so you'll just have to keep checking the front page.

Over the next few days, of course. After that, you'll still be able to seed them.

I totally thought that when I loaded up my bookmarks, now I'm filling more holes than I thought; lot of archiving in the queue, that's for sure.

thanks for the heads up on this; i pretty much have to do only freeleeches these days, because
BigRedLedbetter wrote:I wish I could torrent better. :?
same here. our isp, a local wireless provider, throttles torrent traffic. i get shit download speeds and uploading is non existent. i've watched my ratio drop from a healthy 1.5+ to 0.84 in two years. :shake:

I haven't torrented in a while, but will be starting up again soon. Was gonna come in here and ask what you guys use to get around ISPs when I read this. I had the same problem with Comcast.

Has anyone used a seedbox? I used one about a year and a half ago and it was great. Cost like $15/month though, but seemed worth it.

I don't know what the pressing number on this is, but I've been searching for years and haven't had any luck.

Pretty low. The copy from What sounds like shit though. It's on my discogs and I rarely see it for under $30.

Used to have it too...
