I don't feel like figuring out who is on what side in this thread. That being said, you can't suspend a guy just because it's now the playoffs for something that happens 100 times during the regular season. Rough that dude's leg was broken but there have been way more obvious plays than that. RM baseball snobs feel free to begin your attack on my view.

totally agree with this, as Kershaw has said, MLB is being bullied into suspending Utley.

Its one of the things I love most about baseball. its 3 strikes, 4 balls, safe, out, fair, foul. 90 feet, 60 feet 6 inches. The games so perfect. As one of the cubs said in that article, the knee jerk reaction over one play is kinda insane.

I don't know. In hindsight the buster posey rule ended up being a good change (after some adjustment). So if that's the case, why wouldn't you address the same issue at the other bases?

Also, when baseball made the change to the transfer rule and then realized it was awful, they switched it right back. So it's not like MLB is unwilling to go back on changes they make if they turn out to be shitty.

I feel like base runners are at a total disadvantage when heading to the plate since the Posey rule. Catchers just block the plate and there's nothing runners can do. They said when they changed that C's wouldn't be able to block the plate but I don't feel like it's being called that way.
