could be possible that oscar isaac's character is on the dark side, or at least struggling with it. they show him with kylo ren, then the voice over says darkside when focusing on him, then jedi when focusing on john boyega.
also, kylo ren not wearing a helmet in the lightsaber face off. didn't notice that til the second time.

That would be interesting if Boyega was a stormtrooper and struggling with that cause and going to the good guys, and vice versa with poe dameron.spike wrote:could be possible that oscar isaac's character is on the dark side, or at least struggling with it. they show him with kylo ren, then the voice over says darkside when focusing on him, then jedi when focusing on john boyega.

Who's good who's bad.
I think Ridleys character is the new jedi/hero. The first shots at the beginning, especially with her staring off into the distance with a sense of longing. She'll get sucked on a journey and develop her affiliation with the force much like Luke. Uncle Luke!

It sounded like Lupita Nyong'o a bit. I know there's been speculation that she's that short little thing at the beginning, but maybe not.spike wrote:it sounds like her doing a half assed british accentStrat wrote:I figured but it doesnt sound like her.stip wrote:Is that Leia doing the voiceover at the end?

Seems to be a relic hunter at the start. Climbing around in a ship? She finds the lightsaber there maybe?

I like the idea that the Jedi are still a legend. It's a big galaxy and it's easy to imagine people knowing if the events of the original trilogy and not knowing the force elements.

Of course. Who saw Luke or Obi Wan doing Jedi-y stuff at all during the first three movies? Either people who barely survived disasters, gangsters, people who had been through trauma. Tarkin and the boys were even taunting Vader at the beginning of Star Wars, so even educated people who had traveled around the universe were skeptical.stip wrote:I like the idea that the Jedi are still a legend.
