Yeah I'm sure the biggest movie on the planet won't be playing at your little theaters

heh when i lived in Irvine there were a little over a hundred screens within a five mile radius of my apartment. Still not much selection though.tragabigzanda wrote:We got Minions instead of Inside Out.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Yeah I'm sure the biggest movie on the planet won't be playing at your little theaters
We got Pixels instead of Jurassic Park.
We got Spy instead of Mad Max.
No Trainwreck.
No Avengers.
No Southpaw.
You know not the horrors of the resort town movie showtimes, LV...

Inside Out and Spy were roughly as popular as Minions and Mad Max, respectively. That's not that absurd. Southpaw and Trainwreck were mid-level movies. Though I find it very hard to believe they never got Avengers or Jurassic World. Not that you missed anything.

They made just about the same amount of money, dude.tragabigzanda wrote:I can take your point on Spy vs. Mad Max. tragabigzanda wrote:Just checked this, and shit, you're right. IO made $20M more than Minions worldwide, but that's not much. I'm shocked -- I thought Minions looked like such an obvious cash grab. It didn't even have Carell's Gru character.LoathedVermin72 wrote:They made just about the same amount of money, dude.tragabigzanda wrote:I can take your point on Spy vs. Mad Max.
