I'd really like to see Duncan Jones get a SW movie. But I suspect his WoW movie isn't gonna do well, so that probably won't happen.

This assumes the lightsabers emit heat. Has this been verified in SW lore?
Yeah, lightsabers have always cauterized wounds in the other SW movies (Luke's hand, Darth Maul, etc.). Lightsaber also melted a door in Phantom Menace.

They also melted metal and produced steam in the rain.

That post was more edited than Greedo shooting Han.

Steam in the rain is the only one that sells me on heat emission. Everything else could be based on technology not available in the real world.

Wasn't directed at you DV but that's a good idea.

If you're gonna wait id suggest not listening to co workers or pals or anyone. Just go in clean not knowing anything. Wish I had that discipline.
