'The Walking Dead' Season 6 Premiere Postmortem: Greg? Nicotero Q&A:

Okay, the horn at the end. We know it’s coming from Alexandria, which could mean one of two things: Either some emergency has happened back in Alexandria that they have to get them to come back with some loud noise, or someone knows about Rick’s plan and is trying to sabotage it. What can you say about that?

Ooh, those are both great ideas … [but] you’re not close. But they’re both good ideas.

Pretty violent episode, even by Walking Dead standards. I think I felt that way because it human/human violence instead of the usual human/zombie. It came across as much more disturbing.
Looks like we'll get plenty of zombie action next week though.

That was a good episode but I'm getting really sick of the "killing or not killing" theme. This has been going on since at least season 2 now. It gets kind of hamfisted sometimes when they're really trying to get their point across. Morgan taking his sweet time to tie someone up while people are getting butchered around him that he could save and then Carol coming in shooting the tied up dude in the face was pretty stupid.

Good start to the season. I really liked both Eps but agree that Human-on-human is much more brutal to watch than zombie-head-splatters.
Should be good zombie-fest next week.

Spoiler: show
the back of Nicholas' jacket looked a lot like what those zombies were tearing into. As they fell, Glenn caught Nicholas and Nicholas would've landed on top of Glenn. We never saw Nicholas again after the fall and there definitely wasn't enough room for the two to be laying side by side.

Looks like a Morgan episode next so we have to wait two weeks to see a) if what we seemed to see actually happened and b) how Rick gets out of his latest situation.
Kudos to the writers/show runners for throwing a lot at us right out of the season's gate. The first three have been excellent.
Spoiler: show
I know in the comic he dies but differently and I was not expecting it until later in the season. Nice curveball if true.

Glenn did not appear in the "In Memoriam" portion of Talking Dead.
