Do the trailers have any mention of the prequels? I'm hoping the new movies don't mention the prequels at all so they can one day replace them with something else.

I'd have a hard enough time watching 4 again. I can't imagine suffering through watching 1-3 again. Strat is brave.
Anyone ever try the "machete" order? 4,5,2,3,6 (1 completely omitted)

They should make it a completely new story. New characters. New everything except some kind of Clone Wars and an Obi-wan/Anakin pairing. It doesn't even have to be 3 movies.
Still has 2 and 3.EJ wrote:Anyone ever try the "machete" order? 4,5,2,3,6 (1 completely omitted)

I've been reading most of the new Marvel comics series, and at least two of them feature trips to Naboo, and some of them include little flashes back to the prequels. So there's that. There was also (UNCONFIRMED RUMOR AHEAD)BurtReynolds wrote:Do the trailers have any mention of the prequels? Okay now I'm definitely done with the prequels. Was fun to revisit though. Quickly watched the extras on this one about pre design and how they built

The best thing about the prequels by far is that documentary where you see everybody's shame face after watching PM for the first time.

Doesn't Lucas say something to the effect of, "I may have gone too far in a few places, and it's a little late to go back now"?McParadigm wrote:The best thing about the prequels by far is that documentary where you see everybody's shame face after watching PM for the first time.
And there's another good one where he explains to an intern about how Yoda will use a "laser sword" and the guy's facial expression is basically: "Oh...no..."

The producers face in that footage tells the whole story
They've just watched PM and the know it's a steaming pile of shit and Lucas gets to make all the creative excuses he wants. But the money guy is sitting there going 'oh fuck we are fucked'
I hope Abrams etc watched that clip regularly when making these films.
Don't fuck us all over.

Well if money guy thought they were fucked, he was way wrong.
If anybody but money guy thought they'd fucked it all up, they were right
