So much of my record collection is made up of albums I own in other formats.

Yesterday I got I See a Darkness by Bonnie 'Prince' Billy. I'd never listened to it before. Don't own it in any other formats. And I spun that twice yesterday and once today. What a gorgeous album.

It's nice to have a first time vinyl experience.

It also just helps that this album is the tits.

Has there ever been a double album that the discs looked like tits? The center label stickers could be nips.

Seems like something Poison or someone would do if they reissued an album.

I want it. Don't have the money right now. And I'm kind of sick of "the boxes". Like Neil Young Archives Box, the LPs are essential, the box is fucking dumb, no number or anything on it. I'll wait for individual releases.

If you're talking about the Original Release Series, I think it was made pretty clear that some of the ones in the last box (at least TFA) weren't going to get an individual release. The box can be had for around $100 now and I'd totally recommend it.

But, yeah, I totally get what you mean about box set releases that don't come with any decent bells and whistles, or that have inflated prices. But when a box puts albums back in print or includes bonus content (like the Eels box), I can get behind it.
