Sunday was a lot of fun. Here's a cool little gif from the Ring of Fire.

That's a very makeable shot. Chud would have made that shot.
Which vibram disc would he have used?
I would have just used my comet. It's a midrange but it's all I use to putt with at this point.
Yeah but these guys had to make the shot with vibram. I've thrown only two discs and I can't remember what they were because of the free beer.

With that distance I don't think the disc matters much. As long as it'll go straight just make the shot.

You ought to come out to CO and play in next year's tourney. I'll bet Strat would quit being a chicken shit then and come play too.

Just played here yesterday
http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=1442
Really fun course, not terribly difficult since its pretty wide open being on an old 9 hole par 3 ball course, though they have some tough hole placements, but we had a great time and might have turned 2 more people onto disc golf

ive still got some kinda problem with my game, played 2 rounds yesterday at peaks view which is the real easy course, and i started out real good, but then just went to crap about half way through the first round. i feel like im maybe just trying to aim too much instead of just throwing it, so its causing me to release the disc at the wrong time on most of my throws. i know its still real early for me to be too worried about struggling for a bit, but anyone have a good way to actually figure out what im doing wrong? when i get some time i think i might just head to a park and throw away from a course and just see if i can figure out a problem

Doc, when I was first starting out, me and a buddy would take a disc and just toss it back and forth while shooting the sh*t. Takes your mind off trying too hard but you are still "aiming" for a target by tossing it to someone.

You know, that's a damn good idea, i feel like my accuracy with a baseball or softball is from playing catch for years as i was growing up, so we will have to give that a shot

You could be over thinking your shot. I still catch myself doing that sometimes.

What I do is think about my shot and what I want it to do before getting on the pad (curves/angles/hyzer...). Then I get up there and let my mind go blank and just Zen it ;)

it might if lenny would show back up to help you with it

but it also might just mean that you need to switch to disc golf instead :D

Yup. Can't beat 'em, join 'em. This Sunday we're going to play something called "Prastball." We may need a thread for that someday.

Fishy brought home 4 discs (from a swap) for me to start out with.

Different game altogether. The way it was described to me was that the rules were kind of like Calvinball and that I shouldn't be surprised if someone pitches a cabbage at me instead of a softball because that has happened before and it could happen again.

I haven't throw these yet. I can't wait!! Too windy today and yesterday I tried to get Fishy to go but he wasn't in a good mood because my daughter snuck out for a drive in his Jeep while we were all at work.

Probably won't get a chance til Sunday. can'twaitcan'twaitcan'twait

I haven't made it to the course once over the past couple weeks, and I had to cut that game short after 10 holes because I was on the clock and got called back to the station.
