I'm with McP here. Superman has always been one of the saddest and loneliest characters for me. He's written as the "all american" superhero and has been designed to be the epitome of the American protector and savior... but there's so much underneath that makes him a more interesting character.

You're not wrong, but it's nothing revolutionary. Looks about what I expected, actually.

I gave up on Superman a long, long time ago. Just haven't given a good tin shit for a long while now. But, yeah, I'm actually excited for this movie. Stupid.

That trailer looks like every cgi fest action movie of the last ten years. The more it leans that way the less excited I am.

The other trailers have emphasized the drama and origin story. I think it makes sense to release one to remind the general public that this won't be Brandon Routh moping around for 2 hours AND you'll actually get to see Superman doing some Superman shit.

I think you meant "creeping around" there.

This is exactly how I felt watching Iron Man 3 last week.

regardless of zack snyder helming it or that its 2013

it's SUPERMAN. its about an alien living among men who can

Fly, super strong, invulnerable, shoot lasers from his eye, see through objects, super fast, FLY

yet you complain its going to be a lot of CGI? if they didnt use CGI theyd go through a shit ton of stunt doubles

why not bitch about how they have the sun rise in the east and set in the west at least that has a better chance of happening than a Superman movie that isnt CGI heavy.....

Peeps,

let me know when you've identified the key difference between these two sentences:

A: "That trailer looks like every cgi fest action movie of the last ten years."
B: "That trailer contains a lot of cgi action sequences."

Because the difference between them is the difference between something that does encourage my skepticism, and something that does not.

That is the way I feel about pretty much every action movie released these days. One of the reasons I enjoy the Batman trilogy so much. The CGI is fairly minimal.

I'd expect and hope for nothing less than a fin of CGI from a superman movie. The new Star Trek however, that needed less CGI and more everything else.

Latest trailer looks awesome, though it does give the whole entire game away, which is a real shame.

Can't help giggling every time David S. Goyer says "we wanted to make a realistic Superman". Let that sink in for a minute. A realistic Superman.

I'm mostly looking forward to sighing longingly every time Amy Adams is on screen.
