I really enjoyed the Morgan episode - nice wee breather from the previous episodes this season.

So that means pretty much
Spoiler: show
no Negan until end of this season or more likely next season?

Oooohhhh. Daryl was at a fuel depot in the preview for next week. I liked that event in the comic, but that happened in the prison era.

Did I miss something, how did Rick escape? When we last saw him he was in the RV that wouldn't start with walkers coming out of the woods.

I disliked that omission too. It also seemed out of character for Rick to lead a herd to the doorstep of Alexandria. He seems like he would have led them away rather than towards the town. I guess his hand is okay too. A bad episode all around.

I'm glad that next week it looks like Darryl is going to be a central figure. I like who he became last season, so I've been missing him this year.

The whole lesbian thing seems painfully contrived. And they are both terrible actresses, particularly the "doctor".

It's weird how little they're using Daryl. Five episodes in and he almost did nothing so far. Well, that's what you get with a cast that huge. That's especially bad when you don't care for like 70% of the cast. It's annoying how they can/have to stretch one event over so many episodes because everyone's stories regarding that event have to be told. As if that's not bad enough, how about introducing even more characters? Here's a lesbian romance about an awkward doctor! Here's some teenage drama with annoying teenagers!
The Walking Dead can be pretty good when it's more focused. Let's just kill of everyone (except maybe Aaron) from Alexandria and maybe even some of the regulars. (What is the point of characters like Rosita except looking sexy? Did Sasha do anything interesting in the last 10 episodes? Eugene? Gabriel? Random Alexandria dude?)

Oh well, I did not care for this episode at all. I bet Glenn turns out to be alive and the whole thing was just a forced way to get some Maggie drama. Isn't it great how they made it so even the viewer doesn't know if Glenn is alive?! Now we're totally feeling with Maggie! Just had to fool the viewers into thinking Glenn is maybe dead with a scene that totally looks like he is but then he is maybe not! Genius. What an emotional reveal that will be!

Jeffrey Dean Morgan (akaThe comedian, watchment) will play Negan. Unlike with the governor. This is perfect casting!
