I always think about grabbing it to see if it's any good, but never have. Based on your recommendation, I might.

It's very good. I've only had it once, but I loved it.

I usually love their smokestack (their BBQ last year was awesome), but that one was chalky, thin, and pretty rancid. one of their rare misses.

I wonder if you got a bad bottle. It's not my favorite of the Smokestack series by any stretch, but the one time I had it certainly wasn't chalky or rancid. We brought it to a garden party and everyone sampled it and seemed to either enjoy or flat out love it.

That is currently the only brew I will buy a case of where I am not standing at the brewery. It is damn fine yet again this year.

Looking to hit a bottle release around 8:30ish tomorrow morning, time to pick out a new book.
