rewatching some of the older trailers after that new TV spot dime linked, and I'm impressed by the sense of physicality in so many of these shots. Even the CGI ones feel impactful (in a literal sense), in a way CGI often doesn't.

When I saw the first trailer I thought the effects looked weird, but then I realized it was because the effects looked real instead of like the CG cartoon that I'm used to.

I can't believe Spectre had a higher budget than this movie

I presume none of the cast had a very high price tag

Found a FB memory today from a fe years ago of me saying we walked out of quantum of solace. I'm in no rush to see Spectre but I am amazed it had a higher budget than Force Awakens.

I saw the budget of Spectre and almost did a double-take. I thought it must have been a mistake.

Is that a prop from that new Star Wars thing at Disneyland?

Saw a video on that. Looks cool.

Not sure if this is footage for the film or shot specifically for the ad.
It's a direct lift from Empire anyways.

Lotta guff in it but some good stuff too.
I'm interested in finding and watching these, but do they contain spoilers or just speculation? I don't consider official stuff like trailers/tv spots as spoilers. thanks

Mostly just discussion of TV spots, but it might wade into "rumors" too.

The very concept of "analyzing" trailers and TV spots makes me want to retch.

No spoilers, but there were some rumors (i tend to only know what gets linked here) that I hadn't heard.

I enjoyed it for what it was, but if you're trying to keep yourself marginally blacked out you're not missing much.

I thought it was useful. They picked up on a lot of stuff in the trailers that I hadn't but wildly speculated on that stuff and everything else. But sure isn't that part of the excitement of getting into that galaxy again and getting to play around with our own ideas, wild as they may be, before we get what we're given from the film.

The trailer review was pretty good, except for the guy's buddy (I don't know any of their names). The one sitting to the right of the screen. I wanted to punch that guy in the face.
