Satisfying win by the Cards. Toughness and resiliency is something this team has always lacked (even in the BA era), so it was nice to see them get punched in the gut with those two fumbles, then bounce back.

Still think BA is too enamored with the 5 and 4 receiver sets. It's a miracle Carson hasn't been injured yet.

I know we've had this discussion before, but with the poor season and crappy backup that Manning has, and the resurgence of Jay Cutler on the Bears, I've been thinking a lot about all of the teams that will legitimately need a QB next season, and the fact that there aren't many "franchise" qbs in college this year. The list I have is:

Jets
Eagles
Redskins (Cousins isn't long term, right?)
Cowboys (Romo in mid 30's injury prone)
Texans
Browns
Niners
Rams (?)
Broncos
Chiefs (Is Alex Smith considered the future there?)
Lions

That is a lot of team. I didn't include the Saints because they drafted a guy last year, right? And Maybe the Bills could be added to that list.

I know we've had this discussion before, but with the poor season and crappy backup that Manning has, and the resurgence of Jay Cutler on the Bears, I've been thinking a lot about all of the teams that will legitimately need a QB next season, and the fact that there aren't many "franchise" qbs in college this year. The list I have is:

Redskins (Cousins isn't long term, right?)

I think Cousins will get re-signed. He's a decent enough QB, and if Washington builds a better o-line and better D, the team can be ok. Basically, get the talent around him, and I think Cousins can be a solid NFL QB. Of 32 starting QBs, I think Cousins is good enough to be right in the middle, maybe slightly higher.

I think your list is looking pretty good, except I think the Eagles, Washington, Cowboys, and Chiefs will definitely start with the same guy under center (although that doesn't mean they won't be looking for someone new). It's looking more and more like P. Manning is just breaking down and that he'll sadly retire this offseason, and if Osweiler performs well for the next few weeks, they may stick with him. With the other teams you mentioned, I think it's more likely that they'll be "swapping" QBs (not through trades, but through waivers and cuts) or trying out guys already on their roster rather than drafting.

I think among Stafford, Kapernick, RGIII, and maybe Foles, you'll see at least 2 of them be a starter next year for another team.

I can see that, but if they do it, they should also draft a QB in the middle rounds just in case he isn't the long term solution.

Yeah, definitely. They got Kirk in the 4th round (2012), and I'd expect a similar pick in the 2016 draft.
