I've had $40 sitting in my iTunes account for about 3 years now. No way I'm paying for any of their mp3s.

I dont mind I tunes. With the rdio app is was just a reall handy way to have endless amounts of music to choose from on the go. With I tunes, besides having to now possibly rebuild my entire catalog, is a pain in the ass having to decide on the music and manage it on a daily basis, while it also takes up a good chunk of space. My 160 Gig ipod was stolen.

Ah, okay, I could see it being annoying if you can't fit your whole library on your mobile device. That hasn't been an issue for me.

Hmm, I've never had that experience with it. I find it very clean and easy to use (much moreso than any other program I've tried, in fact). But I only use it for music and I never buy anything through the iTunes store.

Why do I hate iTunes, LV? Because the simple act of navigating and synchronizing my digital library is a PITA probably 90% of the time. Once in a while, the stars will align between their latest desktop app and iphone app and everything will be stress-free. But generally speaking, the constant, incremental software updates across their platforms makes everything messed up. Always having to deal with greyed-out "ghost songs" on my iphone that are taking up space, but not really playable.

maybe you are just doing it wrong
