I remember reading a book in my early 20's called "Gigging for a living". That was an eye opener. Basically how nobody makes any money even if you have a huge hit song.

In the immediate, it's (vaguely) accurate. But as with album sales, longevity and size are factors. According to Forbes magazine, Paul McCartney splits $400,000 with his publisher every year from Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time alone.

It's basically a business built on slave deals, where your next contract after your breakthrough success becomes where you get your pay day. So if you are a one hit wonder, then sorry. If you have multiple hit records then you end up with what David Gilmour once described as "staffs of people just to manage my cars and houses."

Yeah, it looks like he tried to be the 4th sipper on the left, then realized there went enough straws so he moved over to the right shake

I don't understand whose female hand that on the right side of the photo. I'm guessing Jennifer Aniston's, but the angle doesn't make any sense if that is her right hand on Schwimmer's arm.
