It was a great Bond movie for the first half, then settled into a pretty mediocre Bond movie

Change mediocre to 'terrible,' and you've got Skyfall. Does not give me hope.

Except for the part about the great first half.

Without solid second-half pay off, I have no interest in watching 45-60 minutes of good Bond movie.

No, I meant all of Skyfall is terrible.

this just made me think - i've seen all the craig films (sans spectre), one brosnan in full, and just one connery...and bits and pieces of others along the way

i don't feel like i'm missing much

I liked it. Some annoying bits, but I thought it was mostly fun.

Kinda felt like a throwback in a lot of ways. It was suitably Bondy.
