If you read the opening crawl today, there is most likely some info there that we do not know currently. How is that not a goddamn spoiler?

Because it's all set up. In the purest, strictest sense, it is literally a spoiler in that it give you information you wouldn't normally have before your butt is in front of a screen watching the movie. Yes. What I'm saying is that it won't spoil anything for me.

Because all the crawl is doing is summing up 30 years of shit they aren't going to show us anyway in three paragraphs of exposition so that we can just get on with it already.
