The Santa Clause wasn't bad, though.

Re: Christmas Movies
Not great great. There are plenty of better movies. But it's funny and memorable and has tremendous replay value. I don't know. Maybe I don't demand much from National Lampoon.LoathedVermin72 wrote:I beg to differ.durdencommatyler wrote:I haven't seen the first two but Christmas Vacation is pretty great.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Well, these are the three I recently watched:durdencommatyler wrote:Rank the sucky Christmas comedies from worst to best.LoathedVermin72 wrote:I don't know if you guys know this, but most Christmas comedies really suck.

Re: Christmas Movies
It definitely has its moments. Randy Quaid is fan-fucking-tastic in it, but I always love him. But, overall, I think it's a very shoddy movie. Not terrible, but definitely not good.durdencommatyler wrote:Not great great. There are plenty of better movies. But it's funny and memorable and has tremendous replay value. I don't know. Re: Christmas Movies
Yeah, I get that. I totally see what you mean. "Great" is hyperbole. It's not a great movie. But it's fun to watch, it makes me laugh, and I look forward to watching it around Christmas time every year. But that doesn't equate to "great."LoathedVermin72 wrote:It definitely has its moments. Re: Christmas Movies
Have you guys actually seen Christmas with the Kranks? It might legitimately be the most insane, bizarre, inexplicable movie I've ever seen. I can't figure out the motivations of anyone in that thing. It's pure madness. It's as if it's set on an alien planet or something.

Also Gremlins and The Nightmare Before Christmas, if those count as comedies.
