They wanted to list them at $150 a piece or so to get face value back. I'm cool with it though - I'm just glad to get something back on them. I had to burn 2 Kevin Smith tix a few weeks ago and didn't fancy paying for empty seats again.

I'm currently sitting in the theatre, waiting for Chris to start.

I just heard a guy a few rows behind me blow into a harmonica.

We may be in for a long night.

It was pretty good, Chris played very well, but it felt a bit too long. The show began just after 9 and finished at about 11:15 and (though this may reflect my tiredness on a Monday night) I would've been happy had things wrapped up by 10:30 or so.

Security was very tight where I was, which thankfully seemed to spook the amateur harmonica player into not making a peep during the show. A woman sitting behind me had a plastic cup thrown at her head for talking too loud so I can't imagine it would've gone down well with the crowd either, though it might've enlivened things a little.

Fell On Black Days with the cello player was excellent, probably the biggest reaction from the crowd all night. I was pleased to hear Seasons as well.

A Day in the Life was great too.

I kind of felt the same way. As great a Chris was - I was ready for it to be over before it was

I think it's just that 2+ hours felt like a long time for what was primarily a solo, singer-songwriter kind of performance, even if he was good (which he was).

yeah that's a long time for a solo performance. concerts being "too long" is a real thing. even some of my favorite bands are going on a little too long, i start looking at my watch

Agreed.

As a general rule, more than 90 minutes or so is probably too long.

I do hope this is a good show. I'm missing my son's first preschool concert performance and I feel a bit of a prick about it. It'll be my first night out since February and the tickets were a present from my wife for my 40th.

It better be good.

Sorry LMS, didn't mean to give you any doubts. For what it's worth I'm still glad I went and Chris played very well. I'm sure you'll have a good time.

No worries. It sounds like a great gig just too long. I can deal with that,

And hey at least you didn't get a footsteps like harmonica addition.
