AndySlash wrote:strong shows continue. spac usually gets some of the higher rated setlists on tour, and no reason to think these won't be near the top by the end. they even got a rare double encore. by all accounts, the band is playing well. only thing still surprising to me is the lack of away from the world each night. tours for their worst albums featured 7-9 songs per night, and now they put out a great album and then only play 3-4 a night.

This weekend was truly top notch. The lack of AFTW is made up by them actually fleshing the songs out and not just running them as standards. My wife commented on the way home that they have amassed such a catalog that this weekend was certainly something, I added their work ethic for prepping songs and that made it even more astounding; holy fuck am I looking forward to the Meadows.

PJ doesn't play long enough tours anymore to that.

their setlists have looked the same since 2009. dmb is opening w/ tripping billies this year. last year when i saw them that song closed the show. that would be like pj closing w/ rvm and opening w/ it the next tour. they would never do that now.

if you missed out on the blue live trax vinyl for record store day (chances were pretty good- there were only 500), you may have already missed out on the black vinyl release. email went out yesterday and they're already sold out.

also, the band debuted a new cover tonight- petty's 'runnin' down a dream'.

As much of a hassle it has been in the past I'm seriously considering a Camden show.

Yeah, can't get time off work but may attempt Saturday... highly unlikely but these shows are causing me to try and make it happen. Tonight is #80 for myself so it'd be nice to end on a round number but the band is playing super strong thus far.

Super pumped for DMB tonight, my 3rd show. Last night's setlist looked insane though so that has a little bummed.
