i don't think that's official, especially because of the non-star warsy music. and yea, i feel like we've seen that glimpse of luke before.

If nothing else it was a nicely done edit. Everything has that feel of epic wonder that we're all hoping the movie captures.

It is weird to me thinking of Luke as this amazingly powerful badass. He is always the underdog in the OT, learning to use his powers, eclipsed by Vader and the Emperor and Yoda and Obi Wan (though that's a team of heavy hitters). And since they so dramatically upped the flashy powers of the jedi in the prequels it only increases that perception.

I like how there's even a really shitty and super grainy shot of some creature we haven't seen before in the trailers. I think it's from a magazine or something. It flashes by super quick but it doesn't look anything like the other footage.
