The first one sucked - What should have been a fun, campy, over-the-top action movie was instead a bash you over the head with a political message for 90 minutes :thumbsdown:

I personally thought it sucked. Reminded me why exploitation movies went away--they're really not that interesting in the first place. Rodriguez has reached semi-hack stage for me at this point.

Saw a preview for this at the movies yesterday, looks kinda silly, but I've only seen part of the first one

na, I think they can be done really well. Planet Terror and especially the Crank movies for example. but yeah this one sucked.

That's a (brilliant) parody though. Machete Kills was actually in earnest, or at least that's how it came off to me. It was just so samey and boring. Knives, guns, tits, explosions, repeat.
