Ludovico Einaudi last night. Just gorgeous. Can't believe he didn't sell out a 1,000 seat theater in Montreal, but it made for an even better show that the venue was so small. Huge ovations at the end of the main set and of the encore.
i saw bill callahan last monday with about two hundred people in what amounted to a large greenhouse

The next one we have tickets to is the americanarama tour which will be awesome, but its not until late July, i need to find us another show to see before then
saw Father John Misty and Tame Impala this past weekend (separate shows). both solid. Father John Misty's stage presence was the exact opposite of what I was expecting. Dude is like some diva combo of Mick Jagger and Jack from "Nightmare Before Christmas". Tame Impala slayed it pretty well... was curious how they would translate live, but man their extended jams just nailed it. Saw about 10 teenager/college kids (and one middle aged dude which was sad) get dragged out who couldn't handle whatever drugs they decided to take that night some chick was apparently on a bad acid trip and crawled up underneath the bar stools where we were drinking beer
last week i saw Cat Power for the third time. Im not sure if it was the best show, but its was really good. Her new band is really good and the songs from Sun sounded great.

Agreed. When he came out, my wife and I thought he was just suuuuuuuper fucked up. He had just played Sasquatch the night before, so we figured it was some lingering partying he had done. Then he totally screwed up the first song and it turned into a talking/mumbling fiasco. It got to the point where my wife got her phone out and started taking video bc she thought we were in the midst of a mental breakdown on stage. But I think it was just all part of his act. Second song and from then on out he was performing great... although nothing what i was expecting. He's actually a really funny guy on stage.. definitely knows how to hold the crowd's attention. And for some reason he made a lot of air quotes around certain lyrics he sang....?
Fun couple of weeks for shows. Just saw Fleetwood Mac a couple nights ago. I have !!!, Tom Petty at a small club, and Bjork all happening within the next less than two weeks.
