Rangers have fired John Tortorella. Not too surprising.

The slight possibility of Joe Thornton winning his first Stanley Cup against the Bruins was enough to make me not feel bad.

The Rangers probably would have taken off if Tortarella got shitcanned Devils style a week before the playoffs.

As an Islanders fan, I pray to God they hire Mark Messier. What a shit show that will be. Dolan should've fired both Tortorella and Sather. How Sather continues to get by is beyond me. He won that Cup for them 20 years ago.

What the hell is going on in Colorado? I like the Roy hire, but are they really going with three GMs?

Torts is fired after making it past the first round of the playoffs... Most get canned for simply not making the playoffs

Hawks!!!!!!!!

Honestly, can you hockey gurus explain to me the double penalty? I sat next to 3 Wings fans and even they didn't couldn't understand the call.

I've never seen anything like that called as coincidental penalties before and I thought Quincey was the only one doing anything worhy of a call.

Awesome game, awesome result.

The penalty call was about as terrible as anything I ever seen. IMO, it is unexplainable what he saw and why he would call that.

Horrible call. Terrible. Congrats to the 'Hawks though. Looking forward to both Conference Finals.

Can I get a ruling, RM? My fiancée wants me to shave some time in the next 2-3 days, and it's really gnarly. My neckbeard has almost reached my chest hair, and the stuff on the side is basically standing straight out at this point. If I trim it (just the neck and the sticky-out stuff) does that fall within the boundaries of a playoff beard?

I refer all neckbeard questions to Kyle Orton.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of facial hair of any kind - either on my face or another's. However, it is the playoffs. You have committed to this, and the Bruins (knock on wood) continue to win, so I say leave it as is.

I'll endorse this, if chud shaped his beard during the Bruins Stanley Cup win.

My fiancée reminded me that during the 2011 run, we went to a couple of weddings, so I probably trimmed for those. So I think I can clean myself up a bit in good conscience.
