But Peeps, can you help me out with the Doomsday thing? Does he adapt and change and get stronger and grow more spikes as he fights or whatever in the comics? Is that a thing?

It's ok that I bitch because I bitch a lot in the comics especially in the 2001-2004 Flipped Universe storyline so it's basically canon and universally fine although I guess there was that Wolverine crossover where I was more sarcastic than bitchy so that's fine too if I go that route but man I hope they don't digitize my voice too much.

im not as well versed in my DC lore of superman (more a green lantern and the corps guy) but...
doomsday was originally created on krypton and when he tried to take over they shipped him to a still forming earth (hence why he was buried so deeply)
his powers aside from superhuman strength (which borderlines unlimited) is that his body adapts each time he dies so he cannot be killed the same way twice. in the book i believe the bones grew as a defense mechanism.
in the comics it is pretty bad ass how they progress the story. not the story itself (though pretty bad ass too) but in the layouts. as the fight grows more climatic the panels in the comic get larger in size and smaller in number.
its definitely worth the $20 or so to pick it up. dan jurgens and jon bogdanove as well as the legendary walt simonson are outstanding

Re: Movie: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
I'll be seeing this movie in theaters, but I'm expecting it to be kinda mediocre.
I like Affleck's take from what I've seen... or maybe Affleck's take on Bruce Wayne rather than Batman. Although he looked like he was Ben Affleck trying to be a Bruce Wayne who is imitating George Clooney.

I have a lot of the Death of Superman run. But I haven't read most of them. And now they're in a box at my Dad's house somewhere. I'll have to dig them out next time I'm home. I remember next to nothing about the storyline.

Re: Movie: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
much like a SC catch phrase you can only hope to contain him
i dont think he has ever really been stopped/killed. he was shot off planet, left on another planet etc.

I remember liking Doomsday as a villain and hoping to get a really cool screen version of him someday.Peeps wrote:much like a SC catch phrase you can only hope to contain him

I still don't have much of an opinion on this movie either way, other than Doomsday looks dumb.

I think I'm a little more interested in this than Cap 3 but several billion time less interested in both than the new Star Wars.
