Other than Pearl Jam, who else is there?

Strange the way even though something can feel so inevitable it can still be a kick in the balls when It happens.

No lie, I was going to see him in Rochester tonight. I love Scott Weiland. He was a mess, but he was also fucking awesome.

One of those you can't surprised by but still, damn.
I saw STP a few times during the 90s. Fun shows and he was a heck of frontman.

I saw them once at a festival show (HFStival in DC), and it was a good show for that environment. Them and RATM were the headliners.

I was never a huge fan of the STP, but they certainly have a handful of songs I really like.

Damn it this makes me sad. When I heard the news on the radio this morning I had to hold back a tear. It feels like a small part of my youth dies with Scott Weiland. STP was just one of those "right bands at the right time" when I was 15 years old and Core was released.

I always figured he'd be one of those guys that should have died young but lived to be a old man like Iggy Pop or Keith Richards. Nope. He had a real gift for coming up with great vocal melodies.

Yep. Same exact feeling I had when MCA died. I'm still bummed about losing Yauch.

True talk, and not trying to take away from people's thoughts today, but: for some reason, I never got into STP. I knew all of their singles that were on the radio, but I never bought an album, couldn't name all of their albums, and can't name a single non-album song. When Velvet Revolver was a thing, I didn't get the hype. It's odd, too, because it seems like a band like STP would have been right in my wheelhouse.
