Sorry if this has been covered, but is it true that Boston is not on the list of potential tour dates??

Per two sources, Fenway July 30.

Coach is a major Fenway Park enthusiast, so no doubt this is the best news he's ever heard.

First, big thanks to CopperTom for the reply. I'm glad Pearl Jam is potentially playing Boston proper.

But, yeah, I'm one of a growing contingent of Boston fans who would like to see Fenway go and be replaced with a modern ballpark in the city. That said, count me in for this show. 'Cause, Pearl Jam.

I think a new park in Boston would be great. Hopefully they would salvage/recreate the Green Monster. Is there any real talk of this happening?

Off-topic: What are some great modern ball parks? The Royals field in KC is really nice; and I have fond memories of watching the Orioles in Baltimore shortly after the stadium opened.

There's no real talk of this happening, although current ownership said the park can last another 30-40 years and then it needs to go.

Yes, Camden Yards, is an example of a nice modern park with old school charm. The folks who did that park did all the renovations at Fenway.

Well, Charlotte is probably closer to you (not Columbia SC though?) but Raleigh is the better arena.

Well, Charlotte is probably closer to you (not Columbia SC though?) but Raleigh is the better arena.

Oh yea, we could do SC as well, hadn't considered that. But Raleigh would be good, because that's where my in-laws live.

Cool. As far as distance Columbia would probably be best, yeah. It also will give a more "personal" feel, smaller arena, etc.

But I like the RBC Center in Raleigh or whatever it is called now. Really nice arena. I last saw Muse there and the sound in that place is great.

So there really is no ideal scenario. I'm intrigued by the "smaller venue" in SC...

It is only 2,000 seats less than Charlotte and Raleigh, but Columbia probably won't sell out and it just seems more personal there.

But as to your off topic question, the Giants and Mets both have amazing modern parks.
