Why were people getting my hopes up all week about an announcement for today? What evidence was there. I know it's coming, but why did we think it was coming today?

Those on sale dates get piushed back all time. I never thought for a minute they were annoucing anything after getting back from LA and with holidays. I say a annoucement is gonna come in January

Somebody had a shot of a marquee at the venue in Lexington, it said 12/11. It could have been pushed back, but assuming today would be the day for the announcement was very reasonable based on what we knew.

well shit I guess Charlotte is closer than Columbia to Asheville.

So there really is no ideal scenario. I'm intrigued by the "smaller venue" in SC...

It is only 2,000 seats less than Charlotte and Raleigh, but Columbia probably won't sell out and it just seems more personal there.

That is an A+ tip that makes my time here today worth while.

I live in Charlotte and have been to all 3 venues. I recommend Charlotte first because it is a nice venue and its proximity to bars if you want to pregame before the show. Charlotte and Raleigh are definitely the nicer of the 3 cities. I'll probably hit 2 of the 3 regardless. I'm also considering Lexington because they'll also have horse racing at Keeneland in April.

Is there anything that says an announcement can't come today or tomorrow? It's not like the 10 Club does anything in a traditional sense anyway.

Sorry if this has been covered, but is it true that Boston is not on the list of potential tour dates??

Per two sources, Fenway July 30.

Coach is a major Fenway Park enthusiast, so no doubt this is the best news he's ever heard.

First, big thanks to CopperTom for the reply. I'm glad Pearl Jam is potentially playing Boston proper.

But, yeah, I'm one of a growing contingent of Boston fans who would like to see Fenway go and be replaced with a modern ballpark in the city. That said, count me in for this show. 'Cause, Pearl Jam.

Is there any legit chatter out there about it being one leg of a larger overall tour? I'd live to see some West coast mixed in...

I don't know, man, ever talk to anyone who has to sit in right field or someone over 6-feet-tall? It's not a large contingent, but I believe it has grown over the years.

Well, Pittsburgh, Albany / Hartford appeared to have bit the dust.

Dimi has said there would be a show in the band's home state this year too. There are rumors of the Gorge. There was also a Houston rumor. The pic is somewhere in this thread. But they're the only 2 west coast locations that have been mentioned thus far.
