Oh man, yes. One of my very favorites of theirs. I love that one mournfully dissonant bass chord that resolves the main riff. And when the distorted guitars kick in -- hot damn.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Man, "Kitchenware & Candybars" is a really great song too. I never noticed this one before.

Unsurprisingly, STP is trending on iTunes. "Sell more records if I'm dead."

I made a 4 disc set a few years ago. There aren't a whole lotta studio b-sides but there is a bunch of live stuff from singles and compilations.Kevin Davis wrote:There aren't very many.

Do you still have it, Zoe? The only studio outtakes I am aware of are the EP of "No. 4" outtakes, "Heed the Water Whisperer" etc.

Nothing really that great.
From the "Shangri-LA DEE DA" sessions (2001):
01. Samba Nova
02. About A Fool
From the "No.4" sessions (1999):
03. Learning To Drive
04. You Can't Drive Me Away
05. Heed The Water Whisperer

There's some old stuff from the first couple of albums or so that has made its way out, though the quality leaves something to be desired (both in terms of sound and the songs themselves)

Been listening to these guys the last few days. Almost forgot just how good they were. Purple was a first day buy for me, way back when, still holds up remarkably well.

Re: The Stone Temple Pilots Thread
I believe there is an import promo floating around but I've had it on an old bootleg for ages, I don't believe it is complete though so I may need to search a bit more. Off to YouTube after this Alberta Cross album ends.durdencommatyler wrote:Was that officially released? Edit: Mighty Joe Young (pre-record deal STP) demo first.
