I'm definitely on board with the idea of Rey being the Luke of this trilogy. Hopefully the actress can pull it off.

Lotta talk about that online. Can she pull this off?
She's shaken a lotta people's confidence in her by saying herself that Abrams told her she was playin it 'wooden' and going on to say she was super nervous about the whole thing.

I think she'll be fine. The chemistry between her and Finn seems great just from the tiny snippets we've seen.

She can't be any worse than Hammill was, really.

I'm not a huge fan of a new hope but I thought Hamill did a great job all the way through.
Didn't at any point disbelieve him.

Word.

Also, Coppola told Pacino he was doing a terrible job and essentially too wooden in The Godfather. Dude almost got fired. And look how that turned out.

I've been told something similar. It's a pretty common director's trick to get the best out of their performers. When a director knows what the actor is capable of and just wants to push them, they'll do stuff like this.

She's gonna be just fine. I have no worries whatsoever.

I dont get what or why dime doesnt like in Star Wars. It makes no sense to me.

Also, I watched Jedi the other night. Definitely not my favorite although there are moments of it that are some of my favorites in all of Star Wars. Its slow. Long. Too many creatures.

It's good strat it's just not my favourite. There's the bones of a great film there but as good as it is its eclipsed completely by what followed that's all. If a new hope was the only film we had, I'd probably love it. It's a great setup film but just feel it could have been done a lot better.

I just watched Jedi again the other day, and while the back half of the movie is the high point of the original trilogy (imo), it does drag a bit getting there.

I think jedi is great. The whole jabbas palace/sail barge bit goes on a bit longer than it needs to but other than that I wouldn't drop anything.

I think them getting to the point of having the Ewoks on their side goes on too long as well. There should have been more story/emphasis on Luke becoming a jedi

The number of rumors floating around about The Force Awakens is truly stunning. Some are wonderfully funny, others simply preposterous.

“But the only one more ridiculous than Jar Jar Binks being a Sith Lord is that I cut Lupita Nyong’o’s performance because it wasn’t satisfactory. “In truth, her performance wasn’t satisfactory. It was spectacular. She has brought the character of Maz Kanata to life in the most wonderful, wise, touching, deep and funny way. Lupita never ceased to amaze me.”

Id say it's a given.

Just reading that they even used some of the same camera lenses from a new hope.
