Re: 2013 Tour Rumors
I'll redo those with the breakdowns being:
NorthAm 2007-2009 and 2010-2012
EU 2007-2009 and 2010-2012
Probably a better representation since a three year block that include 2013 wouldn't be complete without the rumored US fall micro tour, of which only one date is currently confirmed.

Re: 2013 Tour Rumors
Well, for example, PJ has played the following shows in the UK since 2006:
4/20/06 London
8/25/06 Leeds
8/27/06 Reading
6/18/07 London
8/11/09 London
8/17/09 Manchester
8/18/09 London
6/25/10 London
6/20/12 Manchester
6/21/12 Manchester
6/23/12 Isle of Wight
Now, 11 shows in the UK in 6 years isn't that much for most bands. But then you remember that they haven't done a proper tour of the US since 2006 (I guess you could count 2009/2010). They need to tour the US this year if they want to have a fanbase left anywhere in the US outside of Chicago and the Northeast. They've also toured South America twice since the last time they toured the US.
I still think they're going to do a full month of touring, from that New Orleans date to early December in Seattle (which several people have hinted at, too). They really should, if they know what's good for them.

Re: 2013 Tour Rumors
They are an American band, so it would be cool if they'd consider a full-blown American tour again.

It would be pretty damn funny (but mostly sad) if they played Albany and ignored the major cities they haven't played in 5-10 years. The Argonaut wrote:Apparently one of the local rock stations up here, 106.5, was saying that Pearl Jam was going to be at the TU Center in Albany, NY this fall.

When was the last time they played Albany? 7 years ago?

How far in advance can we expect a tour announcement? If the ltitle birdie were to show up tomorrow, what's the earliest those shows could be?

Realistically, the shows look as though they'll be running from late September/early October through to late November/early December sometime. I expect more announcements about the album and tour either around the time of the shows next month or shortly after.

Re: 2013 Tour Rumors
I think tour announcements have come 1-2 weeks after the first single was released for each of the last two records. If the single comes out July 16 as rumoured, it would make sense to announce the tour the week after Wrigley while the hype is pretty high.Birds in Hell wrote:Realistically, the shows look as though they'll be running from late September/early October through to late November/early December sometime. Since they don't tour more than three wks in a row now, my money is on second week of October until Voodoo Fest (rumours of Albany, Hartford, Brooklyn so probably east coast and south) then mid-November until Dec. 7 (Dallas Nov.15, Seattle Dec. 6/7 were rumoured so probably west coast US). I'd say Jan/Feb/Mar could all be possible for Aus/NZ.

And next summer they'll be back for their new found cash cow, i.e. the European festivals + a Berlin show.

Re: 2013 Tour Rumors
Yeah, I'm thinking we'll know something mid-July too. So much for the "more tour dates coming soon" tease back when London/Wrigley was announced at the end of January. But this is what I've come to expect regardling concert announcements.
Not making things easier for me. Fall is vacation time for me & that's when I do my one big trip for the year. Around now is usually when I start making those plans. I was also looking forward to a separate Pearl Jam roadtrip. Needless to say I'm in a holding pattern right until I know their schedule.

Wait till they announce a couple of dates, make you plan a big trip before announcing another date much closer to your home.Biff Pocoroba wrote:Yeah, I'm thinking we'll know something mid-July too. Re: 2013 Tour Rumors
I just heard that Pearl Jam will officially be the first band to play on the moon. Ironically, there are no plans to play any of Stone's Moonlander.
