Making of Born to Run and the Darkness on the Edge of town. Both are excellent.

I agree about new doc, not enough old footage.
That's what they're titled? Just "Making of"?
No...

Wings for Wheels - Born to Run doc
The Promise - Darkness doc
Cool, thanks.
Enjoy.
Seriously, these are both fantastic. Some of the best "making of" docs I've ever seen.

The arena in St. Louis only holds 10,000-11,000. I'm a little worried about the ticket situation.

The River never really grabbed me as an album. It has incredible standouts that I thoroughly enjoy but, for what it's worth, I listen to music either as a full album or performance and very rarely listen to singles; I can honestly say I've spun Tunnel of Love more.

So that being said, I heard a radio promo for the Hartford show as I was walking out the door this morning and admitted to not being interested in this tour. I've seen the E Street machine a handful of times and while quite the entertaining spectacle knowing a bulk of the show will be The River in full I didn't feel drawn.

What I did follow that up with was that I truly hope Bruce is setting the stage for an acoustic tour in support of the Nebraska reissue. The E Street machine itself seems to be a bit smaller this go 'round and it also seems every tour is a bit up in the air gathering everyone together, especially since the passing of Clemmons and Federici.

A smaller E Street Band than the last tour interests me. The big band gave the concert more of a James Brown Review feel to it than a Springsteen show at times. Too much time giving everyone their moment for my tastes. I don't think the larger E Street Band plays to what Bruce does well.
Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.

I'm a little bummed they will play all of The River at the STL show, but it is still better than no show. I haven't seen the band since 2008 so I'm ready.

I would be all over a tour to support a Nebraska reissue.

Gotta be honest, the idea of a tour to support a reissue kinda makes me want to hurl.

Would you rather they just tour to tour? Maybe they just want to play some shows together and this a good excuse to do so. I doubt they're in it for the money at this point.

Also, the sign request portion of the show was getting longer and longer. Even though they are playing the entire album in full, some of these tracks are definitely getting dusted off which I would imagine could be a bit of an enjoyable challenge to the band members.

Also, the last solo tour was in 2005.

Honestly I think the whole reissue fad in general is pretty silly, and well out of control at this point. The fact that artists are now touring to "support" albums that they already toured to support 20-30 years ago just adds to the gaudy nostalgia-show element of it for me.

I doubt the highlighted part. Bruce's shows have always been on the high end of ticket prices. He may not be in it for the money but he sure doesn't leave any money on the table.

Not sure how far you're going back, but I've felt the ~$100 ticket price for the best tier was pretty fair and it hasn't changed for the last smattering of E Street tours so 7+ years. I've seen other acts jacking up prices steadily. In fact, when I bought my last Bruce ticket when EdVed was touring at the same time, I noted that the latter was charging more... I saw the former.

Yup. Nostalgia may be a lucrative musical product, but it's not a flattering one. And most of the new remasters are just fixing bad choices made in previous remasters, anyway.
