oh god, you have a brother?

anyway, i just watched blackhat and thought it was okay
It's not a bad movie. I wasn't around whenever your battle over this flick went down, but I did enjoy it. There were characters and scenes that were hollow, but so what -- I watch Mann for his style, not his depth of character or story.
i know what you mean, but in movies like this style only goes so far for me

i actually like hemsworth, but it seemed like he was struggling with the american accent most of the time...also viola davis just seemed bored the whole time

I might watch it again soon, just because I haven't seen a movie with good visual tones like that lately

Blackhat the one with Thor? He's like an expert hacker who spends 8 hours a day in the gym?

Blackhat, Heat, Manhunter, and Ali are the cream of the Mann crop.

Blackhat had such diminishing returns the further it went on.

I'd say The Insider, Heat, Manhunter, Collateral.

Edit: also Last of the Mohicans

Should I watch Thief again? I think I might like it more this time.

It's certainly not a great movie but I've never understood the hate. It was fun and mysterious and I enjoyed it.
Hated it when I saw it in the theater - liked it a lot better the second time I watched it on Blu Ray a couple of weeks ago. Wasn't going to ever watch it again, but was introducing my girlfriend to the Alien franchise and thought what the hell. Glad I did.
