spoiler-phobes might want to be careful about opening this one:
Spoiler: show
OMG Luke Skywalker is alive and he kills Leia and fucks her corpse while Force-forcing Han to watch and then Rey eats Poe's shit because Darth Vader is really ALIVE and they made a bet about it in the first reel!

Nope. This thread is open slather once the movie is released. Don't come into the thread if you haven't seen it after release date.

I agree. You're just asking for trouble wearing skinny jeans and a halter top like that.

A new thread is actually a good idea. We can merge them after the opening weekend

Is this something that's done for all movies though? There should be standards!

I'm seeing this on Thursday and I do not plan to post spoilers in this thread without them being marked/hidden until the week after.

I'm not sure what your expectation would be if you clicked on the latest page of this thread after the movie has started screening. Mine would be that people would be talking about what happened in the movie. Seems pretty straightforward.

Because people will be interested in hearing general reactions without having plot points spoiled

How about those people go somewhere else to get "general reactions"? That seems less unreasonable than making the board wait until some arbitrary date after release to post discussion without spoiler tags.

For me personally, when it comes to things like Game of Thrones or the Walking Dead, I don't enter threads until I'm all caught up. Seems fairly simple to me.

Cause this isn't really the standard for movies and junk in A&E

I do understand that it's just one button, and I've had my mind changed about when to post without a spoiler tag, but there are sometimes sticky situations. Sometimes general reactions can get spoiler-ish; people in the GOT thread have gotten pissed when characters are discussed generally in the present tense (I guess because it lets people know they haven't died). So I'll be hiding even my most inane observations.

And, honestly, besides like 4-5 people, everyone in this thread has already decided whether they'll like this movie or not (myself included, probably).

Oh, and I'm going to start posting fake spoilers without tags as soon as I see it.

I swear to God, if you jack offs start trying to system game internet spoilers over a Star Wars movie, I will immediately on day one post the entire synopsis in every thread of this message board and gladly except my banning
