I don't go in for disaster porn normally, but I adored the first Independence Day. I haven't seen it in 15 years at least do I have no idea how it aged

The original is the anti-Jurassic Park… The big stunning blockbuster that benefitted greatly from its novelity, but is now a solid test for whether or not a person is capable of living on their own. It looks ok for its time, but it's basically the best movie Michael Bay never made (or is it his? I dunno).

I just watched Jurradic park for the first time in 15 plus years the other day. That shit has held up shockingly well. That is a great movie

I saw the first Mission Impossible 3 times just to see the trailer for ID4. Disaster porn was so cool at first.

I will say, "Resurgence" is an apt title for a blockbuster sequel starring Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman.
