Re: NBA Thread
Lebron went to Miami as the unquestioned best player on earth. Steph took his current deal because he had sore cankles. Dub's super fan Monkey_Driven said as much. Come back in two years if hes still letting guys like Bogut make more money than him. He seems to be cool with being underpaid for whatever reason....which I still think is weird and very fortunate for the warriors.

he's only really became this legendary in the last two seasons...i fully believe he'll sign an extension for better pay, but i don't think it will be an outrageous dealverb_to_trust wrote:Lebron went to Miami as the unquestioned best player on earth. even you said before he comes from money and doesn't have to worry about it at all...not to mention i'm sure he's making bank on endorsement deals by now

Verb, you'd rather Curry bitch and moan about his salary for the next two years until he gets paid? Yawn.

Re: NBA Thread
Hes not even this generations best player lebron is. He has to do a lot more than make a shitload of threes to be 'legendary'. Right now he has 1 title and 2 mvps (barring injury). What happens if the Warriors level off slightly after the break and get upset in the playoffs or finals? What happens to this team 2 to 3 years down the road? If Curry is going to be 'legendary' he'll need another title THIS season. Being perennial title contenders for the rest of his prime (5 years puts him at 32) is a big assumption given how hard it can be to maintain a title contending roster that clicks. How long did the Heat run...4 years?

If Curry keeps shooting like he has, he'll be a legend without any more mvps or rings.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:you can what if all day...the fact is he has half as many rings and mvp's as lebron and if we're what iffing i'll counter with what if they win a ring this year and he wins mvp? pretty much would be on lebron level alreadyverb_to_trust wrote:Hes not even this generations best player lebron is. that would make him more successful than reggie miller, who i consider a borderline legend based on shooting alone

he'll likely win this year, so i don't think it's out of the realm of possibility at all for him to get 4verb_to_trust wrote:Lebron has 4 mvps by the way. Steph gonna get there? I suppose thats just a sure thing now because of a really good 1.5 years?
even if he just wins 3, but wins a few more rings that's pretty much enough to cement his legendary status
