I get more and more excited about the Leafs every day. It's frustrating that they seem capable of playing their way out of a top pick, but the fact that they're suddenly playing well with the collection of garbage that makes up most of their roster is a really encouraging sign for their future under Babcock. They have a ton of talent in their system for the first time that I can remember.

Which one? Everything he puts in the net seems to be a thing of beauty lately.

I was looking up potential rosters for Team USA 2018 and just realized that Gaudreau is an American. Embarrassingly late on that one.

Regardless, looking forward to the USA roster for the next Olympics, especially if Eichel develops as expected.

I don't have a list in front of me, but I'm pretty sure a lot of the top prospects for thr 2016 draft are American, too.

Interesting. I actually think the Leafs are the only Original 6 team whose logo is not off limits for redesign. There's nothing really special about the design itself, and they haven't won any Cups with the current look...but given the recent quality of jersey design in the NHL, this could get ugly quickly.

31 games into the year and Dylan Larkin is now +20 on a team whose goal differential is 0 overall. That's pretty insane for a 19-year old.

Yeah, my main concern is that they'll try to go for something completely new and screw it up. I'm really hopeful that they go for a modernized vintage look, something like they had for the Winter Classic.

That would look nice, I like the old style leaf more than the new one. Guess we have to wait until the off-season to find out.

Kane point streak over at 26. Was hoping he made it to 30. This Art Ross race is going to be fun to watch, I hope the top 3 can all stay healthy.

The no goal was right just shouldn't have been a penalty too. Arghh... I can't think about the Habs right now. Worst December of any team in the NHL. It feels so Leaf-y.

We'll see about that. The real question is whether they can keep sucking until mid-February, fall out of the playoffs and then mount a spectacular late-season run to finish one point out of the last playoff spot. THAT is Leaf-y.
