I don't listen to much radio/podcasts/etc. I have no idea who these other people are that you're talking about. Except Ira Glass, who I can take or leave, but usually leave.

He's had some really cool guests too. He had on Carrie Brownstein, MCA, Patti Smith, etc, etc. And he's actually knowledgable of their works too, it wasn't like some young producer pitched a hip guest and he went along with it.

Hip young producers wouldn't pitch Carrie Brownstein, MCA, and Patti Smith. Not if they want to continue being called hip and young. All three are cool folks, but they have been cool folks for a long time. I think you've lost your edge, chud, or maybe just your youth.cutuphalfdead wrote:He's had some really cool guests too. chud listens to NPR, watches Jeopardy, and works for a radio station. He is very obviously at least 80 years old.

I'm only halfway through the Brian Grazer WTF but it's already one of my favorite episodes. Producers seem to make great podcast guests.

Pretty much over Rogan at this point, but definitely gonna listen to his new one posted yesterday. Lance Armstrong is the guest.

On the other hand, the Horatio Sanz ep was terrible. It wasn't Sanz's fault at all, though - Maron just kept blathering on about himself and didn't ask Sanz much of anything.
