As an aside 538 ran article that basically said Kasich isn't really very moderate and has been one of the most aggressively pro-life governors in the last 40 years.

Even if the field doesn't narrow I don't think that disproves the idea that a larger field is benefiting Trump, if anything if the field remains large and Trump performs well it might reinforce that theory.

All of these guys are ultra conservative. And yes, kasich, but they're all just awful. Romney was a better candidate than all of these guys.

Right, I get you. I think if the field narrows pre-Iowa it will be because of fundraising, not because they drop out with the intention of narrowing the field to defeat Trump. I do think at least 1-2 candidates will drop out between now and then and then I'd expect another 3-4 to be gone after NH or SC at the latest. I don't think there will be more than 6 or 7 candidates by Super Tuesday...which is still crazy.

we'll know after Iowa whether or not Trump's support turns into primary movement. I don't doubt the validity (or permanence) of his support at this point, but whether he's put in the work to mobilize people is a different story. that could be what kills him.

Stage and screen actor Mandy Patinkin wants to know how he can stop presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) from impersonating his character Inigo Montoya from the classic film, "The Princess Bride."
When the New York Times reached the fabled actor, most known for his current stint on Showtime's Homeland, Patinkin told the newspaper about the videos of Cruz he had seen.
“They Photoshopped his face right over my face!” Patinkin told the Times. "I said, ‘How can I stop this?’”
He added Cruz is missing the point of the movie.
