Well, after seeing it and having some questions myself, I would say 77.3% chance you'll hate it.
I wish you loved it :(
I didn't say I didn't! I really enjoyed it, was happy it seems back in good hands as far as production. The questions I have are minor but may have enhanced the experience is all. They are just things that when I put myself in LV's shoes, I figure he might not like it. But he's a tough cat to figure out, yanno?

At this point, I doubt anybody truly knows how they feel about it. They know how they feel about the sensation of the moment...of the experience that it has so far been...but as a film it's still brand new. Calling it great or terrible is like declaring the new album by your favorite band to be as good as albums x y and z from their past, a week after arrival. That action is both an understandable product of your excitement, and a little naive. No need to treat your current excitement as something other than new relationship fog.

Force Awakens is probably in my top 3 for the year, strat. And A New Hope and Empire are the only others in the series that I would rank above it, so there's that.

Now if they announce a Grievous stand alone...

For McP (cc Strat)
Take it all back.
A new hope, or at least the original 77 version of it, is just brilliant. Looks like I'm doing all three in a marathon now:) on empire now.
Going to see TFA again in the morning so this feels right :)

Seeing this on Monday at 9:40 am. There is also a 9am 3D showing. I'm hoping with it being so early, and another one showing around the same time, that I'll see this thing with as few people as possible.

The 3D doesn't take part at any point apart from a few star destroyer shots, it really gives you an idea of the ship but it's not employed at any other point that I can remember.

It's all still sinking in, but I'm sure I really enjoyed it throughout.

I really like the new characters Poe, Finn and Rae. Kylo Ren is a twat not only because he's another little whiny Sith bitch, but because of what he did. I also didn't like how they dubbed his "mask" voice, it sounded too fake, i.e. it didn't sound like it was really him because it wasn't mixed right with the rest if the audio, the presence was all wrong.

I loved the action scenes, both the dog fight and light saber duels. You could really feel the impact, and they were believable. Like Dime said, they are much less choreographed looking.

The humour was pretty good too, so much better that the attempts at humour in the prequels. Finn had some really funny moments, as did Chewie, moments that actually made you laugh rather than grimace and want to poke yourself in the eye.

This is not really a review, just some initial thoughts so far. I'm actually looking forward to seeing it again with my boys, I think they'll love it.
