Re: NHL Thread
If I remember correctly, Zdeno Chara shaved his beard after game 4 against Philly in 2010.

Dig up photos from those weddings on Facebook and you'll have your answer.....Simple Torture wrote:My fiancée reminded me that during the 2011 run, we went to a couple of weddings, so I probably trimmed for those. whereas Mario would've cried, whined, stormed out of a penalty box at a referee, and then threaten to take his ball and go homePeeps wrote:so did savard....
it's such a shame Crosby ended up playing under Mario, who's encouraged him to become every bit the spoiled whiny bitch Mario was in his heyday

bitter? not really...I just don't have a lot of respect for Mario and his many "I'm gonna take my ball and go home" moments over the years (the one thing I actually gained respect for Jagr for was he finally did take his ball and go home for a while, after many similar threats)...and I think his influence has rubbed off greatly on Crosby with that stuff (the air of entitlement to calls, etc)Peeps wrote:it must suck to be so bitter
besides peeps, I've been pretty vocal about my own favorite team being a bunch of bitches in recent years (too bad paaks isn't around still, I miss having a total Vancouver nutswinger around here)...if I were bitter about anything, it'd be the way Vancouver plays

youre bitter and hanging onto the past so tightly. crosby complains even less than most other captains. you want to say hes bitching when hes talking to the refs? then so are 29 other whiny captains

when 52% of the league votes you as the league's whiniest player, and the next closest player gets 8%, I'd say that says an awful lotPeeps wrote:MattA75 wrote:bitter? not really...I just don't have a lot of respect for Mario and his many "I'm gonna take my ball and go home" moments over the years (the one thing I actually gained respect for Jagr for was he finally did take his ball and go home for a while, after many similar threats)...and I think his influence has rubbed off greatly on Crosby with that stuff (the air of entitlement to calls, etc)Peeps wrote:it must suck to be so bitter

I don't think Crosby is the whiniest player on the Penguins. I think that goes to James Neal. Neal is also one of the dirtiest players too. He's really crafty about it, as is Kris Letang. Neal spends most of the game crying to the ref, either looking for a call or disputing a call on himself.

Re: NHL Thread
i think u completely missed his point. not every player cries like neal does, and not every player is as dirty as neal (except malkin). i agree about crosby, he's grown up since his first few years and as a captain its his job to talk to the refs. but neal isnt like every other player, he's overly dirty and overly bitchy.Peeps wrote:so he is just like every other player out there....cool story broshinkdew wrote:I don't think Crosby is the whiniest player on the Penguins.
