Thinking about it, sorta wish we didn't know Kylo was Hans son until he calls him by his real name on the bridge

Yeah, they kind of hammered it home a bit too much. I loved that his name is Ben.dimejinky99 wrote:Thinking about it, sorta wish we didn't know Kylo was Hans son until he calls him by his real name on the bridge

Re: STAR WARS SPOILER THREAD. SPOILERS WITHIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It would have been a cool reveal. No doubt some would think it too much like the reveal in empire but Snoke saying 'your father, Han solo' was a bit ott.
They could have let that be a little mystery even with Han and leias scenes and wrote it to make it look like they meant Luke, just cut the line to 'go find him' instead of 'find our son'
But it's of no matter. Just thought they did that a bit heavy handed

The thing is JJ kinda fucked those things with Into Darkness. He pretty much gave us a really similar scene here, and the whole ¨ Your are my son¨ would have remind me of the KHAAAAAN mess in that movie.dimejinky99 wrote:It would have been a cool reveal. Yeah I guess so.
And great point about needing to hammer it home for the kids. In that light I see the need for it.

Holy shit. You guys are already pretending to be able to decide how it ranks next to movies that you have lived with for 35 years?

All the positive reviews has only added to my excitement. Last time I looked forward to movie like this was Dark Knight Rises but the mixed review tempered my enthusiasm. Not the case this time.Strat wrote:I am cracking up at how excited I am. I am too old for this shit. Its cool. I love it.

Enjoy this feeling. Whatever happens, whatever you think of the final product, take a moment and really enjoy what you're feeling right now. Be present in your happiness. Such a rare thing.Strat wrote:I am cracking up at how excited I am. I am too old for this shit. Its cool. I love it.
