It's not the Rebellion, it's the Resistance!

Lol this post was so much worse than I ever could have imagined. The safest, blandest, most loathed vermin product possible. His cynicism, anger, and especially hatred of fun were all horrendous. Awful writing. Wonky pacing. Nothing but exposition punctuated by bangs and flashes, and it embraces the worst aspects of modern drama.LoathedVermin72 wrote:lol this movie was so much worse than I ever could have imagined. VERY easily the worst SW movie - as bad as the prequels were, at least they were imaginative and didn't just regurgitate the OT in the least exciting possible way. Corporate fanboy nostalgia has really hit a new low with this.
VERY easily the worst LV post - as bad as the previous 14,000 were, at least they were imaginative and didn't just regurgitate his arguments in the least exciting possible way. Anti fanboy hysteria has really hit a new low with this

I think he wrote his review a few months ago and saved it as a draft.EJ wrote:Is anyone suprised by LV's reaction to this movie?

the very first movie I ever saw was with my dad in 1979 -- Star Wars at a drive-inMonkey_Driven wrote:I'm becoming more and more of a sap but it warmed my heart to see so many parents and their kids at the 7 pm showing last night. That's how I saw it too, with my parents and older sister. I'm guessing it was 1978 or 1979.Chris_H_2 wrote:the very first movie I ever saw was with my dad in 1979 -- Star Wars at a drive-inMonkey_Driven wrote:I'm becoming more and more of a sap but it warmed my heart to see so many parents and their kids at the 7 pm showing last night. I had a VHS tape of the original 3 from when they aired on USA Network in like the early to mid 90's. I remember being so excited when the special edition VHS tapes came out because it meant I didn't have to fast forward through the commercials and the movies wouldn't be edited.

I recently watched ANH and ESB that were taped off the USA network in the mid 90s. Watching the commercials was the best part.

God I hate this argument. I like ESB and ROTJ more than The Godfather anyway.Chris_H_2 wrote:guys, remember, this is still Star Wars we're talking about, not the Godfather.

It was actually a few months ago. A group of us rented a place up in new hampshire for a weekend of debauchery and the place was stocked with an amazing VHS collection.Monkey_Driven wrote:Did you steal my tape?!cutuphalfdead wrote:I recently watched ANH and ESB that were taped off the USA network in the mid 90s. It's a desert planet, but it's not Tattooine, it's Jakku (even though it looks exactly the same)!
We can destroy the Death St...oops, I mean Starkiller by flying a bunch of X-Wings through a trench on its surface!
